Who is it for?

The ferry booking management system is for companies that carry or forward freight using ferry services, when a truck needs to take its load across the sea. With Terra Cargo, the required ferries are reserved or booked and can be tracked in the system, and bookings are sent to the systems of the ferry lines we have integrated with.

How does it work?

The system runs in the browser, so it can be used from anywhere. It integrates easily with our other product, Terra Logistics, so other transport and forwarding tasks are visible in one place and in real time. Terra Cargo can work on its own or as an additional module of the transport management system.

For ferry management there is a customer zone where customers can place a freight order themselves, stating where the cargo travels from and to. An order is created in the system from the information provided.

Benefits

This feature was built to make booking ferry tickets and managing their information easier, especially when a route continues over water. When a route is optimized, the most favorable way to the final destination is planned, and such routes often cross water, so ferries have to be found and booked to move vehicles with their cargo. Terra Cargo lets you reserve or book ferries directly from the system and integrate with the ferry lines your company uses.
